Summer Songs and Strawberry Cream Teas
We were once again delighted to welcome the Thornton le Dale Community Choir to join us for another joyful evening of music, laughter, and togetherness. Alongside the talented Lilian, Evelyn and Deb Plowright, the choir sang their hearts out - filling the room with both nostalgic favourites and newer tunes that had everyone smiling (and some quietly singing along).
No summer concert would be complete without a treat, and our strawberry cream tea was a definite highlight - enjoyed by all and served with care. The evening also included a bit of light-hearted fun as Joan Smith guessed the correct weight in our “Guess the Weight of the Cake” competition and took home a beautiful homemade creation as her prize. A heartfelt thanks to Val for making such a wonderful nature-inspired prize!
Also, a heartfelt thank you goes to our wonderful singers and to everyone who came along to support the event. Thanks to your generosity, we raised a fantastic £115.50 for AWE!
